Hello!
« le: février 13, 2024, 09:34:59 pm »
Hello all,

I would consider myself an 'enthusiastic amateur' with electronics and Arduino but have a goal of a fully automated OO railway using as much self-built kit as possible.

I'm a big fan of Railcom and 3d printing.

Looking forward to hanging out here and learning as much as i can.

Joel.

Hello Joel and welcome to Locoduino.

I think you'll find something here to satisfy your interest in DIY and Arduino in general.

What country are you from?

You mentioned in another post that you've made the Railcom boards and are running them successfully, I'm glad.

Do you have any photos of your layout?

For your questions about components, Catplus (Marcel), with whom I worked on this project and who is more of a specialist than I am, will get back to you without delay.

Christophe

Hello Christophe and thanks for the warm welcome.

I am in the UK.

The Railcom project is great, and worked 1st time...unlike some other attempts i have made previously.

My 'layout' is more like a workbench at the moment.  I am still collecting locos, doing sound upgrades and playing with electronics while I finish the building in my garden which will be the permanent home for my layout.

Im thinking about using RocRail to automate - seems to be some good information on this forum about that.

Next job is to work out how to DIY a servo traverser/transfer table.

Thanks,

Joel.
